The terms

  1. BotSoftware that does a repeat task in the background, like matching a payment to an invoice. It does not talk to anyone.
  2. Virtual agentSoftware a person talks to, like an intake chat. It always says what it is and hands judgment calls to a person.
  3. WorkflowThe steps work actually takes from start to finish, including the workarounds.
  4. IntegrationA connection that lets two systems share information without retyping.
  5. WebhookA message one system sends another the moment something happens, like a form being submitted.
  6. ShortOur word for a gap between systems where time and money leak out.
  7. Fit checkOur first conversation and assessment. You keep the map and cost model either way.
  8. Human in the loopA rule that a person approves anything that needs judgment before it happens.

Start with the process that annoys you most. We’ll take it from there.
